Thank you to George and Amal Clooney for trusting in us to look after Rosie. As a family we loved spending Christmas Day with her and making you laugh with all her pupdates. Coming to your home to collect her for her stay and meeting you both will always be one of our top highlights for our small business. Knowing that you choose us for her care makes it super special. Rosie we love you and The Country Dog Hotel will always be a second home for you.
Sky News kindly asked us for a live interview from our hotel, featuring some of our guests on their morning show.

“Walkers along the canal outside Bridgwater in Somerset were presented with an unusual sight late last month: more than a dozen dogs on stand-up paddleboards. The mutts, each of whom had a human companion from their holiday home at the nearby Country Dog Hotel & Spa, were among the most pampered beneficiaries of a booming industry.”

“I have a dream. Or rather, a recurring nightmare. I go away on holiday, leaving my dog, Bobby Jean, with someone to look after her. But they lose her, and she’s never seen again. Call me overprotective (my husband certainly does), but finding a trusted dog sitter has been mission critical.”

“There is one other high-end dog hotel I recommend, but sadly the door policy is too exclusive for me to cross the threshold. The Country Dog Hotel is a luxury boutique Somerset hideaway that caters solely to canine guests…”

“Forget grim kennels – from bone-shaped paddling pools to private meadows, doggy care has been given the five-star treatment
Kennels can be grim places. We’ve all seen photos and heard horror stories, so it pays to be careful when it comes to entrusting a stranger to care for your beloved dog while you go on holiday. Research from TrustedHousesitters has found that 82 per cent of pet owners feel anxious at the thought of leaving their pets in someone else’s care – while 62 per cent admit to feeling pangs of guilt….”

The Daily Mail - Hardly Ruffing It!
Hardly ruffing it! Spa treatments, chauffeurs, personalised bone treats – welcome to the UK’s most in-demand canine hotel (no human guests allowed).

“We hear model David Gandy’s rescue pup Dora and Harry Redknapp’s bulldog Barney have stayed. Lorraine Kelly’s border terrier Angus is a regular, as well as many of the England rugby team’s dogs.”
The plan is to leave Pippin, our cocker spaniel, here for five nights while my fiance and I repair to the Dolomites. The hotel, set in a large estate on top of the rolling Quantock Hills in Somerset, offers two packages: standard, which costs £50 a day, and VIP — very important pooches — at £80 a day.

Fundraising Charity Event
Sheryl Sandberg (COO of Facebook/Meta) & Rick Bernthal judged our charity dog show “Wild class” raising money for Wild at Heart Foundation. We are very happy that Anna Molly has won the class after being chosen from over 500 dogs as part of our online dog show. A very worthy winner after she was abandoned at the gates of Paws Dog Shelter in January 2020. She waited there for 3 days for her owner to return. During that time, the shelter gained her trust to bring her in to safety but she was so scared. Eventually they managed to gain her trust and bought her into the shelter.
Now, Anna Molly has the most amazing home in the UK and her confidence has massively grown and she’s the most affectionate little girl now.
