A New Grooming Spa Just For Dogs
Set within a Georgian Farmhouse alongside The Country Dog Hotel our spa is unique and luxurious for dogs. We are nestled in the heart of the Somerset countryside allowing your dog to escape to an atmosphere of relaxation.
All of our treatments take place in a quiet and discrete area of our hotel, allowing your dog to relax, decompress and unwind. We hope the classical acoustics provide a stress free experience and our choice of treatments offer a bespoke experience for your dog.
Our Spa Therapists are well trained and our senior therapist Lauren has a plethora of experience with various breeds. We can offer a full range of luxury treatments from speedy quick fixes to full indulgence packages ensuring your dog leaves us feeling revived, rejuvenated and relaxed.

The Country Dog Indulgence Package
Offering the complete works nose to tail. This package includes two washes with our natural luxurious shampoo followed by a fluff dry and detangle. We clean ears, clip nails and offer a full style to your chosen requirements. Your dog will leave us looking and smelling lovely.

The Country Dog Mini Makeover
Our mini makeover includes two washes with natural shampoo in one of our luxurious spa baths to compliment your dog’s skin. This is followed by a fluff dry and detangle. This treatment also includes ears, nail clipping, face and feet tidy. This is a great way to keep your dog’s coat clean and cuddly between full grooms.

The Country Dog Signature Shortie
Our signature shortie is great for short haired dogs and dogs that shed.
This package includes two washes with our natural luxurious shampoo followed by a soft blow dry. One of our therapists will then professionally brush out the loose coat.

The Country Dog Detangle
With camellia japonica offering emollient and detangling qualities this treatment smooths cuticles and increases elasticity allowing the knotty hair to easily separate. This works alongside lemon myrtle leaf oil and rose water to help nourish, condition and reconstruct damaged hair tissue.

The Country Dog Hand Strip
We offer handstripping as a specialist treatment. This is carried out by
a qualified groomer with over 10 years’ experience in handstripping. This treatment is more common in terrier and gun dog breeds and helps to maintain correct temperature control, colour and texture of their coat. Please contact one of our therapists for a full consultation.

The Country Dog Puppy Pamper
Our puppy pamper includes a gentle wash to introduce your puppy to spa treatments and to help them feel comfortable and loved during the pamper. After a warm fluffy blow dry and brush they will smell lovely. We can also clean their ears, nail clip and offer a facial trim and hygiene tidy.

The Country Dog Healing Paw Balm
Helping to relieve and protect your dogs cracked, dry and rough nose and toes. This balm can also be used on hot spots, dry spots, itchy spots, cuts and grazes. Sweet almond oil, frankincense and kanuka work in harmony to moisturise and ease discomfort of sore cracked pads.

The Country Dog Blueberry Facial
With freshly prepared crushed up blueberries, coconut oil and oatmeal full of antioxidants to gently massage around the face. This facial helps reduce the appearance of tear staining on lighter coats and is perfect for cleaning out the facial folds on our popular breeds such as Pugs, Shih Tzus and French Bulldogs. This facial is then completed with a dab of nose balm to moisturise your dog’s most valuable sense.

With shea butter, coconut and rose oil used to hydrate the hair and skin. This also helps reduce loss of protein, regain hair’s natural moisture, improve elasticity, prevent breakage and add texture, body and sheen.

The Country Dog Quantock Warm Tub
This warm tub experience is a fully indulgent traditional experience. Outside and overlooking a magnificent area of natural beauty our warm tub is for owners who are looking for that ultimate relaxing experience for their dog. Our wooden warm tub is heated with an external wood fire heater and can relieve stress from the everyday. Our warm tub water is from our natural Quantock spring water. Can be used solely or with another dog. Only between April-Sept.

The Country Dog Shedding Mud Treatment
Our earthy shedding mud is a deep cleansing mud bath with omega oils and vitamins to help relieve and prevent excessive shedding and clogged hair follicles. We massage this treatment all over your dog’s coat to hydrate the skin and coat in our calming spa to aid relaxation.

The Country Dog Emi Pet Treatment
The ultrasonic toothbrush by emmi-pet is a revolutionary oral hygiene system that cleans your dog’s teeth without vibrations and brushing. It helps to combat against Gingivitis and Periodontitis, helps to stop bad breath, combats against oral cavity diseases and fights tartar build up. To use this treatment, we simply moisten the head of the brush, apply toothpaste and hold on your dog’s teeth. We offer this in a series of treatments.

The Country Dog Teeth Cleaning Treatment
The teeth cleaning treatment is a less extensive option to the emmi-pet treatment. We use a natural doggy toothpaste and toothbrush to clean general plaque and tartar from your dogs teeth. We then use a foaming mouthwash after the initial clean to help to keep your pups breath fresh.
